Bathpalathang Airport (BUT) is located in Jakar, Bumthang district in central Bhutan. It resides at an elevation of 8466ft above mean sea level. Drukair conducted the inaugural flights to Bathpalathang Airport on 17 December 2011 coinciding with the National Day of Bhutan. Aside from Paro and Thimphu, Bumthang also known as Jakar is a popular tourist attraction destination for travellers. Bumthang is one of the most historic and spiritual districts of the Kingdom. The airport is a 5 minutes drive along Chamkar River towards the north of Chamkar town. From Bathpalathang Airport, you can fly directly to Paro International Airport, Gelephu Airport and Yongphulla Airport.
