Gelephu Airport (GLU) is located around 3km from Gelephu town in Sarpang district. The airport area spans across 500 acres (200 ha). The airport resides at an elevation of 984ft above mean sea level. Gelephu is situated in southern Bhutan, bordering with India making it a hub for cross-border trade. The airport commenced operations in November 2017. Currently, Drukair operates two domestic flights from Gelephu Airport - to Paro International Airport and Bathpalathang Airport.
